Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer well recognized for her high-quality performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter was awarded numerous prizes which included an Oscar for her movie Piano. The path to acting began on Broadway by performing in a range of Broadway as well as Off Broadway projects. Since her school days she played Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. Following a bout of mumps, she went blind on the other side the ear. This did not stop her ambition to become an actor. She was a drama major at the college, and then moved from Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dreams. Hunter made her Broadway debut following an unplanned meeting with Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The first time she appeared in a film was when she moved in Los Angeles. Since she was a part of the film she has appeared in many films, TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame famous person and she has won Women in Film Lucy Award.
